Student printing is changing

Why change?

The ONEcard program provides print service to the University of Alberta community for public photocopying, printing and scanning. This system has been in place for over 15 years and has become less responsive to the changing needs of our campus. A new print management system has been identified as a preferred solution by the University of Alberta. This change is currently underway on campus through a staggered deployment.

How will it affect me?

During the implementation on campus, printers will be temporarily unavailable in some locations during the upgrade. We appreciate your patience as we install the new equipment, print drivers and the new software solution.

Bring your own device: Laptop printing

For those who have installed the former print drivers on their laptop for secure printing on campus, these drivers will no longer work. Your options moving forward are to:

  1. Install the new drivers (coming soon). This will only be available for computers running operating systems that are 64 bit.

Welcome to Google Cloud Print!

Google Cloud Print makes it possible to send any document or image to the University of Alberta printers from your tablet or mobile phone. Basically, if you want to print anything from any device, Google Cloud Print can make that happen.

Where can I print?

Use your ONEcard to print, copy, or scan in campus computer labs and libraries.
